    We are excited to have you join our Tommie community. We encourage you to explore all that St. Thomas has to offer you. Some of the resources offered through Campus Life to assist you in your transition to college life include participation in Welcome Days, First-Year specific events and engagement programs, and a variety of leadership development opportunities offered throughout the academic year.

    Second-Year Students

    Now that you have completed your first year on campus, it’s time to take those next steps in your St. Thomas experience. Look for second-year engagement opportunities to get involved, meet new people and expand your social network, continue developing your leadership skills, and begin to build and refine your resume.

    Upper Division Students

    As juniors and seniors at St. Thomas, it is natural to think about life after St. Thomas. However, know that you still have opportunities and resources through Campus Life and across campus to prepare and assist you in that transition. If you have not had a chance to join a club, attend an on-campus event or participate in a leadership workshop, it’s not too late! This is also a time to hone your interviewing skills so that you can articulate your co-curricular experiences.     Out of State Students

    We know that you have come from great distances to attend the 91制片厂. Thomas and we want to ensure that you have opportunities to get to know campus and our local community. Connect with the St Thomas Activities and Recreation (STAR) programming board and other out-of-state students to participate in student-led events on campus and excursions to explore the Twin Cities area.

    Leadership Development Emails

    Campus Life sends out bi-weekly emails with different leadership development opportunities. Students who take advantage of at least one of the resources listed, and provide a reflection, have a chance to win a prize for that week.

    Sunberg Leadership Center

    The Frank and Judy Sunberg Leadership Center is designed to provide all St. Thomas students with the materials and gathering space they need to enhance their leadership potential. St. Thomas students may use this collaborative space for meetings, event planning and social space.

    The center houses office space for the Inclusive Leadership Collaboratory (ILC), a multicultural environment where students can engage in foundational learning experiences that will help them develop the attitudes, knowledge, and skills needed for inclusive leadership in an increasingly diverse world.

    Leading Edge Program

    At the 91制片厂. Thomas, we believe that leadership can be learned and developed by anyone. It is the application of knowledge, qualities, and skills applied in any situation that is not tied just to those who hold titles or formal positions.

    Developing leadership skills is a life-long journey and, through Leading Edge, we want to help you kick start that journey by introducing you to 6 important components to leadership.

    Tommie Engagement Consultants

    We want all students to feel connected to campus. Sometimes that can be a little overwhelming. Tommie Engagement Consultants (TEC) is a student-centered program dedicated to connecting you to opportunities on campus. Whether you are looking for a student club to join, things to do on the weekend, ways to develop your leadership skills, or campus jobs, TECs are excited to help you find your place at St. Thomas through one-on-one coaching sessions and personalized engagement plans.
