Academics at St. Thomas
We value teaching and learning -- faculty members, not teaching assistants, teach 100% of our undergrad classes. Smaller class sizes (average is 21 students per class) means the professor knows your name, and is available to answer questions.
Students have opportunities to learn through doing on campus and in the community; academic learning extends to study abroad opportunities and co-curricular events or activities. Many undergrads collaborate with professors on research and 81% have real-world internships.

St. Thomas has a wide range of over 150 majors and minors, including:

During your degree you will explore both theory and practical application via our core curriculum and degree-specific courses. Our curriculum includes skill-building in communication, complex problem-solving, cultural competency, global perspectives, and entrepreneurship.
Receive Credits for IB
Students who receive grades of 4 and higher in the higher level International Baccalaureate (IB) Examination(s) can receive credits at St. Thomas for those courses; see the list of courses included.
Financial Aid and Scholarships

All Davis UWC Scholars who identify as international students coming to the US on a visa must submit the , an online application used by colleges and scholarship programs to award non-federal institutional aid.

All Davis UWC Scholars who are US citizens or permanent residents should file the FAFSA to determine financial aid eligibility.
On-campus employment is also available for students to work up to 20 hours/week during the academic year; 40 hours/week during breaks and vacations. Prior to or upon arrival, you can apply for on-campus jobs. Learn more about Student Employment at St. Thomas.
GHR Fellows Program
The GHR Fellows program is a highly competitive, transformational undergraduate experience for students pursuing careers in business. Fellows receive full-tuition scholarships to the 91制片厂. Thomas and customized programming designed to deliver leadership experiences - including global exposure through a fully funded J-Term study abroad experience.
Eligibility:
- Prospective first-year students who have applied to St. Thomas
- Intend to major in business
- Cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.7
- Embody the mission and values of the 91制片厂. Thomas
- Model the values of GHR by demonstrating that you are ethical, innovative, globally aware and engaged in your community
Application: Eligible students must complete an application by January 7 and be invited to attend the GHR Fellows Program Test Day held in late February. Scholarship recipients are notified in March.

These competitive scholarships are awarded by the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship to applicants with proven entrepreneurship potential who intend to major in Entrepreneurship. Multiple full-tuition scholarships will be awarded each year to qualified candidates.
Eligibility:
- Prospective first-year students who have applied to St. Thomas
- Intend to major in Entrepreneurship
- Preference for students with a high school GPA of 3.5 or greater
Application: Eligible students must complete an application by January 7 and be invited to attend the Schulze Innovation Program Test Day held in late February. Scholarship recipients are notified in March.

Should you apply as a first-year or a transfer student?
You are a first-year student if you have never attended a college or university after secondary school.
If you have attended a college or university, you are a transfer student.
Transfer students coming from a college or university in the U.S.are also required to submit a Code of Conduct form about your disciplinary and behavioral history. Please complete the top half of the form, then have your current or most recent institution complete the bottom half before submitting it to us. (To fill out the form electronically, please use the "Fill & Sign" option in Adobe Acrobat.)
We require transcripts from all high schools, colleges, and universities that you've attended. Please send us your current IB scores and predicted IB scores. If you are not doing the full IB Diploma, please also send us your secondary transcripts from before you attended your UWC campus. If the transcript includes a grading scale, please make sure that's included as well.
For first-year students, unofficial transcripts are acceptable during the application phase. However, official transcripts are required upon arrival.
For the IB curriculum, students need to have scores of 4 or higher in their SL and HL classes to meet the English proficiency requirement.

You will need to submit copies of the picture page from your passport.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after you first enter the U.S. However, we strongly recommend that your passport be valid for the duration of your study here.
You're welcome to submit any of the following:

- official (school code: 2102) or (school code: 6110) test scores
- your resume/CV
- any other materials you think will enhance your application
